Transformers 2 - revenge of the fallen review
Yesterday i went to the cinema and watched transformers 2 - revenge of the fallen, a truly brilliant film, following on where the first movie left off. For all of you who grew up with the transformers cartoons and amazing toys, this really is a trip back in time, a nostalgia that is happily revisited!!!
The film itself is action packed from the first minute to the last minute. The way ion which the producers have tied in certain aspects of the first film makes the film all the more enthralling, with a real sense of a flowing story line.
The acting is not going to be winning any oscars, or even nominations, but just incase there is anyone out there who becomes bored, then Megan Foxx plays a very eye-catching role!! And i was sure i also saw the girl who became famous in the 'where the bloody hell are you' Australian tourism adverts, looking equally as good.
Where the film may win aclaim though is through excellent graphics and computer imagery. The autobots were brilliantly done, with our old favourite Optimus-Prime looking as cool as when i was first given the toy 20yrs ago! It is the make up of the decepticons, and i particular, 'the fallen' where this transformers film is at times breath-taking. The fight scenes and new bots involved are extremely creative and fun, but also amazingly overlayed on planet earth to really create the sense that this could be real!
I only wish it was - im sure i am not the only person who wishes that bumblebee were my car too!!!
Overall, a well spent two and a half hours of my life, so if you have a few spare somewhen soon, then Transformers 2 - revenge of the fallen is well worth consideration.
